Watch that was handed down to me.
I took the battery out but when in seems to run just fine. A little humming noise you can hear and the hands work fine. any info on what it might be worth would be great. Thanks!
It is definitely a Spaceview but I wasn't able to find a variant. Wonderful heirloom!
1961 Bulova Accutron Spaceview
A nice heirloom, thank you for sharing. After much digging, the earliest reference to this case is in 1963. t appears that this watch started out as a "dialed" watch and was converted. It is not uncommon and we classify such watches as "Spaceview", even though they may not have come from the factory as such. It appears per the earliest listing for this distinctive lug watch is 1963, and it was the watch seen below. It appears in the 1963-1967 Accutron Linebook as a 1963, with no representation in the 1961 or 1962 Likebooks.

This conversion was very likely done at or prior to initial purchase, and could possibly have been a dealer display sample showing the movement to customers, with this case not marketed as shown above in 1961 or 1962, it's really hard to say. I am just stating an opinion, not a verified fact....

On the Bulova site when I looked it up it said M1 was made in 1961 is that not right?
Sorry, but we don't do values, as there are far too many variables. Your best bet is go on eBay and look at completed listings for similar Spaceviews in like condition.

I was just asking because I was told it was only worth 100 to 200 bucks but didn't make any sense its 14K gold.

You can always weigh the gold parts. Right now at 15:28 EST 24k gold is selling for $1912.07 per ounce.
