I think that's it. I just got this watch, really liked the small second hand at the bottom. What I'd really like to do is find a band similar to the original
His Excellency, variant unknown
Agreed.
1958 His Excellency (unknown variant)
Nice looking watch, very sharp! Is it rose gold or yellow?

I believe rose gold. It's in really good shape, not as clean as the sea king, but scratch free just the same. Fully functional. Just need to get a better band.

That is what I was thinking. Such a nice combo with the rose gold and black dial! Congrats on the nice find.
Thank you all of you for helping me with the id's on these watches. I've always liked the simplicity and character of the older vintage watches. With the popularity of internet buy and sell sites, it's become so much easier to find older pieces in really good shape.
Once again,
Thank you
There are a bunch on models listed in the 1958 price guide, with a few showing (blk) dial versions. However all models are listed as either "Y" (yellow) or "W" (white) gold, no R (rose/red) variants listed. I think they may consider these as "Y" for price list purposes......maybe.
Either way I wasn't able to deermine which variant the rose gold is, so a generic Bulova His Excellency for now.
I would agree with 'His Excellency' no variant for now.
