I don't find an advert showing this face, but there are a couple examples in the Db previously ID'ed as His Excellency "GG". One appears to sport the same fancy crystal.
Case date 1946 and movement date 1947. Overall a real clean runner, but missing the second hand that went airborne during uncasing and disappeared forever into the carpet...........
1947 Bulova His Excellency "GG"

This is my all time favorite Bulova dial, it is so unique to anything they did, I love it. I also agree that is should be tagged as the GG
1947 Bulova His Excellency GG
Case is His Exc GG, and Ambassador A pre 1947. Dial doesn't match the ads that I can find for these models; but I do find this dial in the Statesman ads. Statesman uses a different case, but is of similar dimensions. Possible marriage of case and dial?

I considered that as well, but based on the fact that there are 3 more (all 1947) with identical face, case combination currently ID'ed as "GG" makes it seem unlikely it's a marriage.

I have looked and don't find a match with the case and dial. With the other examples I am sure it is a model that just wasn't advertised very much or at all. I would ID it like the others until an ad surfaces. Nice looking watch!

1947 HE "GG", tentative.
If an ad surfaces in the future showing it to be a previously unidentified model, they are all together.
I agree.
