I believe we have a 1952 (L2 movement) Bulova Senator.
I am not so sure this is the Senator you show. This definitely looks to be a different case than the one in the ad, I could not find a match but will keep on looking.
Agree- not a Senator- looking........
It's close. I've seen this case model number 31725 go by a few different names between 53 and 55 (Rubyiat, Senator then Rocket), all at different price points.
We have four other examples of this model, all listed as unknown:
- https://mybulova.com/watches/1951-unknown-7180
- https://mybulova.com/watches/1951-unknown-13879

Here is an example of the real 1952 Bulova Senator as shown in the above advert. Note the lugs.
....so, this one goes to the Unknown category as well
Sorry, another Unknown
Yeah they are different. I'm good with unknown.
Unknown it is.
The case is a match to the His Excellency “B”.

Unless the shadow dial is a factor. There are other models, like the Winchester, that have shadow dial and non shadow dial versions.
Adding in cross3-refeerenced advert.
His Excellency "B" ad below:

Agreed, based on new ad
