Movement Dated '47, case s/n starts with a 9, so 1949? His Excellency AA. A few superficial light scratches on crystal. Case, face and hands exceptional. No plating wear. Unrestored as found with a NOS brown Lizard band added by me. Originally branded as the Princeton until 1947, when it became the His Excellency AA.
You have it correct; this model changed to the His Excellency line in 1947. The ads show two dial variations, full numerals or even numerals. With one exception being called the 'A', these yellow gold versions look to be the 'AA' variant:
