We'll.... I think we have a yellow gold 1944 Bulova His Excellency SS as the 1944 as shows, with a either 1942 Bulova 21 jewel movement that had been left over or replacement at some point?
Ok so we have a 1942 movement in a 1948 case...how did you come up with 1944 :-)
Also the 'His Excellency' series didn't come out until 1947.
So the case is correct for a HE, but not the movement which must be a replacement.
The ad attached is from the 1944 Montgomery Wards catalog we have in the full vert database?

I'd say we/I got the date wrong on thiis advert, as we know the His Excellency series wasn't introduced until 1947.
I believe this is indeed a 1948 HE "SS". with a swapped movement.
Like this one previously ID'ed using a 1948 dated ad.
