Academy Award "T" with a possible "W" dial swap? 1949 case and movement ---
I would have to agree that your watch is a marriage of 2 Academy Award models.
The case is from either the ""Q" or "T" and the dial from the "W".
So I suggest we ID as a generic 1949 Bulova Academy Award.

I didn't even consider the Q , but that's a definite possibility. I'm actually leaning towards that now. My movement is actually marked "49." With a period after the 49. I'm wondering if that's how they marked the Q movements? All the 49 "T"s I've came across have no dot. Kinda interesting. ---

I just looked further into the Q and they have 7AA movements, so there goes my theory of the DOT. Haha. Could still be a full movement/dial swap into a Q case I guess ---
There seems to be no ad match showing this variant combo so naming it a generic Bulova Academy Award makes sense.

I was wondering if this was a variant offered ... so I appreciate you checking the ads for me. ---
1949 Bulova Academy Award noting dial swap.
