The Plain Speaker, Hazleton, PA, Dec 8, 1936 - Aeronaut - I think this may be the earliest we've heard of an "Aeronaut" model.

Roanoke Rapids Herald September 16, 1937 - Welp.... this is pretty definitave... Minutate Man "A" with a leather strap, Minute Man "B" with a mental bracelet.

In reply to Roanoke Rapids Herald … by plainsmen
Haha... wait.. the opposite. A = metal bracelet, B = leather strap.
Interesting 1938 ads for a "WOODSIDE" and "WILSON" model. Some discussion has said the Curvex might be the WILSON since the crystal that fits this model lists it for a model called the Wilson. Fort Worth Star-Telegram (Fort Worth, Texas) · 9 Jun 1938, Thu · Page 7

Confirmed that the Wilson is the curvex model now that we have the 1940 Weisfield & Goldberg ad. ID of an unknown has been made and it is in the database. Now to find the Woodside.
San-Antonio-Light-Nov-07-1934-p-9 - Deauville, Broker, Senator, Miss America, Lady Bulova, Alice, Debutante

Wow. 1934 Broker name for a twin dial physician style watch.

Whilst we have a number of 1940 & 50s models of the Broker, this is the first we have seen for the 30s. Nice!
I think we are safe to update these 2 records:
Not sure if we have seen this advert before.Feb 5, 1937 Bulova Rocket and Goddess of Time.
Haven't found any models (known or unknown) that match the Rocket.

1938 Bulova President, Commentator, Banker, Ranger

1938 Bulova Rona, Miss America, Carolyn, Nanette,Goddess of Time, Barbara, American Girl.

I found another ad showing the wandering president as a Flying Clipper. This one from the New Castle News May 8 1936.

If you wondered how Bulova introduced new models of watches in conjunction with a promotion this 1933 Newsweek ad gives a great insight into how it was done. Railway Express Agency. All watches delivered to 10,000 locations on the same day.

I don't think the advert is from 1933, but more like 1950-53. Note the Academy Award display in the window. Still a cool notion that they were able to bulk ship a new model across the country at the same time.

agreed, ad is early 1950's
In reply to I don't think the advert is… by mybulova_admin
You are correct. The publication date was listed as 1933 but the page clearly shows 1950 as the date of the magazine.
I don't recall seeing this ad in here but this is an interesting take on the American Clipper as being the first Round the World Air Mail Flight and the same watch was handed off and worn on the entire flight by all pilots. I wonder if it was engraved and still exists.

I am not sure if we have a Lady Maxim ad from the mid 1930's but here is one. The Charleston Daily Mail - 22 May 1936, Fri · Page 16

A new model name and interesting tie in to a movie. Also a match to this unknown. https://mybulova.com/watches/1940-unknown-3900 - 1939 Bulova Golden Boy - Altoona Tribune - 08 Sep 1939, Fri · Page 5

Here is a 1931 ad showing the Air Queen model name. This is a new era for the watch as the earliest previous add we have is from 1939. The Tulsa Tribune - 30 Jan 1931, Fri · Page 3

Interesting find. Nothing in the 'unknown' section matches, so we've yet to come across this model.
Here is an 1935 showing an earlier model of the Bulova Boone than the ones we have in the DB. The Baltimore Sun (Baltimore, Maryland) · 22 Dec 1935, Sun · Page 9 - 1935 Bulova Boone

Here is a nice clean ad of a 1939 Bulova Elizabeth. Comes in White and Yellow gold. The Albuquerque Tribune (Albuquerque, New Mexico) · 26 Jun 1939, Mon · Page 5

Interesting ad for a Bulova Parisian which would be a new name for the database. Unfortunately the ad is not very clear. Two diamonds and four sapphires. We have a 1929 Unknown that looks close but not enough detail on this one. The Daily Oklahoman (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) · 14 Nov 1930, Fri

New name for the database. 1934 Bulova Sentinel. It seems to match a few unknowns in the DB but no jewel count in the ad to confirm it. But the price does seem to indicate a lower cost watch so maybe this is the 7 jewel we have been looking for. The Evening Independent (Massillon, Ohio) · 17 Aug 1934

22 May 1931 Buova watch advert showing a few watch boxes, including:

A new name for the database. No picture but the ID is a 1932 Bulova Sylvia.
