So it is possible that the Viking in actually a lower jewelled (15) version of the President?
We don't have any examples in the database, but out of the 19 we have, only two have this subsecond hand configuration instead if the rotating second hand dial. Both of them still however house a 21J movement.
Still a great advert find.

Interesting ad showing a 1936 Bulova Arthur. It looks to be the same watch as the Farragut. We have documented three jewel counts for the Farragut. 7, 15, 17. Makes me wonder if this is the name for one of the jeweled models.
