So it is possible that the Viking in actually a lower jewelled (15) version of the President?

We don't have any examples in the database, but out of the 19 we have, only two have this subsecond hand configuration instead if the rotating second hand dial. Both of them still however house a 21J movement.

Still a great advert find.

Interesting.  A 21J version of the Phantom is a "Streamline".  Based on the price $49.50 vs the Phantom $39.50 I believe we have a new model name on our hands!

This might be a new model name. I didn't see it in the data base. The 1937 Bulova Solitaire. From The Waterbury Democrat Nov. 26, 1937 newspaper.

Bulova Lorna, Doris, nita, Nightingale, Charles, Lone Eagle, Sky King, Winston, Arthur and Glenford.

I'm curious why the Arthur is a higher price...solid gold case maybe?

I want to research this advert - there are a couple names that seem out of place, not 100% sure it's got correct names for the watches shown. This would be the first time we ever have Arthur advertised?
