An ad referencing a 1954 Drake. At least we know it is 21J movement and for men.

Finally putting a face on the Hartley. New name not in the database. The Times (Munster, Indiana) · 7 May 1952 - 1952 Bulova Hartley

I have been cross referencing Price Sheets with model names that did not show up in the search box. Found this name in the 1954 price sheet then confirmed it with the following ad.
1954 Bulova Adams
The Oshkosh Northwestern (Oshkosh, Wisconsin) · 28 Oct 1953,

Ad confirming the model name from the 1954 Sales Book. No picture but we at least know it is 17J with a fancy case and dial. I have my suspicions on a watch it might be in the unknowns but until a picture confirms this is all we have to go on.
1955 Bulova Providence

Confirmed 1955 Bulova Providence is a valid new name for the database. Found confirmation in the 1955-57 Line Book BAWD0127 page 17 of 40.

Here is ad referencing a 1958 Bulova Dolphin which is a name not currently in the database. There is no picture. I confirmed the model name in a waterproof crystal booklet that lists the model name and the following info. The dial is listed at 28.6mm. crystal #1126E high domed movement 11ACC style #287
The Akron Beacon Journal (Akron, Ohio) · 2 Dec 1958

Here is an ad for a new model name 1957 Bulova Aqua Jet. Not sure if the watch shown in the ad is a Hayward or a Aqua Jet. The Crystal book I have lists the following watch details.
30.4mm. crystal #1076E high dome 10CSC movement Style #1059

Interesting 1952 ad showing two gift sets with two new model names.
1952 Bulova Enchantress
1952 Bulova Guardian
The Guardian appears to be an Arnold but we have no Arnolds past 1951 in the DB. So it appears the Arnold name may have changed to Guardian in 1952

I think this one is a misprint. Dial says "Benrus".
1959 Bulova Navigator New model year.
Times Colonist (Victoria, British Columbia, Canada) · 17 Jun 1959,
Here is an interesting ad. This shows a 1952 Bulova Nugent. Now this appears to be the same style as the Arnold but the database only has models and ads prior to 1950 for the Arnold. I am wondering if in 1951 this was renamed the Nugent and remained so in early 1952 before the more rectangular Nugent model came out later that year.

I just noticed my prior ad for the gift set above that shows the same watch as the Guardian in 1951. I wonder if this was the Arnold thru 1950, Guardian 1951 (gift sets) and in 1952 Nugent before it was replaced by the new Nugent later that fall.

I submit that this advert is a misprint and that the watch is not a Nugent but most likely an Arnold after all
1950 Bulova Charmer (model name is listed in the 1955 price list.)

New Model Name. I am not sure what model this ad is showing or if it is even a Hayward or Aqua Jet. It appears to be a 23J movement model. Note I also confirmed the Aqua Jet and Hayward model in the undated 1950's Waterproof Crystal Book and they took the same crystal but this is showing a 10CSC 17 movement instead of the 23. Either way we know the name Aqua jet in 1957 does appear to be a valid model.

Here is an interesting ad from the 1950's. I have no date for it. It is showing a new name Bulova Sidney. To me it looks like a Bulova 23 "K" and we have several watches ID'd as the Bulova 23 "K". Just putting it out there just in case it comes up.

Finally an ad for the SVP showing the even number dial. I suspect the SVP came out with just one model in 1959 for a man and women. In 1960 it added new models and added variant letters. In 1960 this case model changed dials to full Arabic and was AKA Bulova SVP VI then after.

6 diamonds added to a mens Bulova watch. The watch I believe is based on the 'Director', which is identical minus the diamonds.

Possible new model "Ruth" The_Evansville_Courier_Fri__May_16__1952

Here is an interesting 1952 ad. I don’t think I have ever seen an ad for a Bulova Movement watch.
Here is a 1952 Ad for a Bulova Watertite E. It is showing a leather strap. So we have an ad for the stainless 17J Watertite as an F variant. Therefore the 17J stainless case with a leather strap is a E Variant.

1952 Bulova Watertite "E"

1954 Goddess Of Time B, D and F

Putting this ad out there. The pic is bad but don't recall seeing the name Carmen in the DB. '

Fort Worth Star-Telegram (Fort Worth, Texas) · 8 Aug 1952, Fri · Page 15

Here is one that has me thinking. This is a The Toronto Star (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) · 9 May 1952, Fri · newspaper ad. I found many more ads, all from Canada showing this model with a plain dial with art deco hour numbers and 21J movement from 1952 to 1955 being called a Bulova Time King. I believe this is just a Canadian name for the His Excellency LL since I cannot find Time King in the Price Guides we have from 1953-1964. After 1952 the sector dial AAs are called His Excellency no variant. While researching this model I found that the Price Guides we have confirm the Academy Award ZZ and the His Excellency LL listed up until 1958. So based on this believe we might want to reconsider these watches as His Excellency and add them as Academy Awards ZZ variant.
