I'm trying to help identify this watch for my father in law. He's cleaning out his deceased father's property & came across this watch. From what I've searched & found, I believe it to be a 1944 Navigator model. I'm trying to confirm that, or what model it actually is, and also wondering if it's worth enough to take it to a collector/jeweler & have it evaluated for value. None of the other watches I've found online have a signature inside the back cover, so not sure if that adds or decreases the value...or if it affects it either way. Also, I've avoided cleaning it at all in case the petina is part of the value (as is the case with some things).

Navigators had an engraved decorative strip up either side of the crystal, s I don't think it's one of those.

It is decorative on both sides. I'll add another picture in a bit.
Hi Ozarkneal2003 and welcome to mybulova. Neat watch, thanks for sharing. Is it rose or yellow gold color?
By casing it appears to be a Director, however I only find it in rose gold with a different face like this one

Awaiting color confirmation and Still looking.

I think it's yellow gold, but maybe it is rose gold. Kinda hard to tell really with the patina. The winding knob says Bulova on it and the back appears to be stainless. I don't see a manufacturer on the back.

Is the inside of the back marked "Bulova"?

Yes, I didn't notice it before but the inside back cover is marked. I'll add another picture when I get back home.
Not sure how to add more photos, or edit my origin post/watch. Is there an email I can send the other photo to?

Thanks again Kathy
