I agree with President, though other charcoal/black dial option had their own variant, and I believe this one would also. I cannot find the black dial variant in the ads, but 'B' was listed as having a black dial per the 1958 price list at $49.50. Not enough to go on for me, so Pres w/o variant.

Yes, 'D' is a black dial variant, but not the match to subject watch. I believe it is a different style all together, perhaps similar to the C, as the band is the same as C. Rather hard to tell due to the poor image quality, but I do sort of see only the 3,6,9,12 markers.

It's a President alright but I agree with Ken, no variant is clear to me. It's a nice looking watch.
