1928 President with Dress dial. 1930 9AF 17 Jewels. I believe the hands are original to the dress version. Possible original crown. Do you think this is the original bracelet? Ive been told on here that 2 years between movement and case are acceptable to be original and matching. The crystal looks raised up to me compared to others I've seen, is it a replacement? Broken back hinge. Not sure on exact movement serial numbers. Thanks! ---
Looks like a President to me.
We have two other watches like this in the db that we ID'd as a President, they're HERE and HERE. There is a possibility that the offset on date codes indicates a movement swap which may have included the dial which we have not seen in Presidents of the era. Many of the 1929-1930 Presidents we have contain the 9A, 9AF or 9 AT movement in 17 jewels. The crown does appear original but it's difficult to say the bracelet is although is is certainly of the era of the watch (and a wonderful look).
1928 (by case serial number) Bulova President
I'm seeing a 1930 date code on the movement. I'm tending to agree that we have a 1928 President case with a possible 1930 President dial/movement.
Agree also. 1928 Bulova President noting dial/movement possible swap.

I'm gong to say the band is a replacement, but an excellent match to the watch. I believe this model is shown in period ads on either leather or mesh band.
Excellent information. Thank you all for your comments ---
