From Bobbee The Corsicana Sun, Texas. December 1936. This VASSAR looks alot different than the enameled version of the late 1920's. It actaully looks like the white-dialed verison of the black dailed c1936 Virginia. Also Phantom without the numbered dial.

Dec. 1935 ad. DICTATOR, earlier than the black dial BANKER in ads and watches. Saw one on ebay not too long ago, wish I'd got it now.

Turned to greyscale, stretched just the right vertical bezel, then did a shadow highlight thingie. Any more and I'd be modeling the error in the original ad LOL
Two ads from the Syracuse NY Journal, the single watch one from March 1937, the other from May 1937.
Both portray the American Clipper available in White and Yellow gold.

My apologies, I just thought that with the bezel uprights and horizontals looking darker they were yellow gold, and the lighter stepped sides were white gold. As this model came in a "two-tone" case, I assumed this was one. With a matching band too, if you look closely it too has "light and dark" toning. Proof it came in the "two-tone" case.
Dec. 1939 ad. CONQUEROR. Can't find any watch like this in the DB, almost like a reverse American Eagle.
