nice one!

We have this pegged as a 'RAILROAD APPROVED' Accutron, vintage ads surfacing Name the Watch a 'RAILROAD MODEL' and a model # of 202.

Case matches the adverised.

Beautiful, clean example of a timeless classic. Nice find Peter!

Agree with RR approved.

Thanks bob, I've been looking for a Railroad Approved without the red Inner 24 hour e numbers on the dial and I found this very nice example.

Accutron Railroad Approved from me.

I see 214's, 218's 218D, and 2185 movements spanning 1966 (w/ this example) to 1975 in watch database.

Fifth, any idea on the date of the ad from accutron214.com?

I'm splitting from the pack on this name - I think the ad, (I'd like to see the whole ad), names this an Accutron 202.

no confirmed Date for the ACCUTRON ad but I do have access to the entire which shows several different Models.

correction: did have access to the entire advertisement, its location is currently under re-construction.

Geoff,

I will forward a copy to You in the near future, if the Date of the ad can be confirmed it will be submitted to admin for publication on site.

As an added observation, due to their popularity and higher market pricing over a basic 214 I think the Railroad Model Accutron is 'bootlegged' more often than not.

It's a pleasure to see one Cased matching an ad.

I'm gonna resend my vote for now. I agree w/ Geoff.  It sure would be great to ID this nice and original Accutron to a specific model name (well...number in this instance)  It would be informative to be able to ID this as a 1966 Accutron (Railroad Approved) Model 202 if it works out that way.

Do we table until Fifth gets the ads?

If We open that door We'd never ID all the ACCUTRONs by individual model number and would end up with more 'UNKNOWN's than those positively ID'd.

The current 'generic' method is safe
