I've had this one for awhile, I wanted to get it entered, so here it is, a 1950 or thereabouts Academy Award, White Gold Filled case with caseback also GF. Excuse the expansion bracelet. As received, it came with a cylinder crystal, which I don't think is correct. The movement is stamped '49' and it runs quite well after its full overhaul. The curtain dial is in ok condition. The movt is a 7AK, 21 jewel with Breguet overcoil. I haven't done anything yet to the case, except for a quick polish of the bezel. It could use some more tlc, and the hands, on close inspection, are quite corroded. I do have NOS replacements for them, so will attend to that at some point.
Showing off again ! Grrrr, that Bruno guy again! : )
Hey whoa wait a minute bobbee I'm not Reverend Rob
I'd be interested if anyone has the correct crystal for this. I didn't think it was the best example, but will look better once buffed up a bit more and correct crystal.
Darren should have it.

Thanks Mark. PM has been sent to Rob.
I actually have 16 total spread over 5 brands and 4 types for this AA.

Hey Darren, sorry to say I have lost your original PM, and got sidetracked away from finishing the AA. I'm now trying to get it ready for the showcase, do you still have some AA crystals for this model?
Thanks

Hey Rob, PM sent.
nice...3 ticks confirmed. Thanks for entering in DB. We make hay while the sun is shining...and it's good to get watches in DB for prosperity and future researchers and Bulova enthusiasts.
Academy Award "T" would also get my 3 ticks.
We sure have a variety of Academy Award "T"'s (six records) in the database.. Subject watch looks like a "T" to me.
