Watch Description

Bulova Accutron. This watch was left to me after my Grandfather passed away. He always said this is the watch the Astronauts use. It's not an original band. This band was what I always remember him having on it. I really don't know much. It doesn't appear to work as I replaced the battery but the movement doesn't run.

What as great heirloom to have from your Grandfather.   The astronaut connection was that the accutron movement as used in spacecraft as timing devices on space and lunar missions.   Astronauts did use the Accutron Astronaut which is a different model.   This model originally was a salesman sample but so many people wanted the sample that Bulova started to produce them and jewelers started to remove the dials.  Yours appear to be an original 1965 Bulova Spaceview "G" like this one. https://mybulova.com/watches/1964-accutron-spaceview-g-9289.

Thank you so much for your help! I really appreciate it. I am planning to have it repaired and I'm thinking about getting a band for it that would have been one that was on it when purchased. I really appreciate the info, thanks again!
