As i love to buy special things, i present you what i think it is the oldest lady watch the data base never seen before!
Im sure this one is somewhere between 1914-1918.
i ll let you take time too look the seller's picture.
....and we see in comments who got good eyes😂
I ll update the picture as soon the watch fall in my hand.
As i previously said any date will be ok for the moment. my real concern is the history we can't put on a correct timeline due to lack of info. is the case serial number suposed to be 3-2-1. or 1-2-3 ? too many speculation and not enough info. beside the claim of use who is seem never correct in timeline.....
as i said, just keep hope to one day we will know.
this rabbit hole seem bigger then collecting old buisness coins 😂
I'm speaking specifically about watch Cases hallmarked 'American Standard W. C. Co'
- How did We determine that this Company was founded in 1920 ?
-
and if this information is correct how are these cases dated to the teens if the Company did not exist?
Perhaps I should start a new thread.....
Fifth, we can adjust the year for 'American Standard Watch Case Company' to at least 1917 as per the below directory listing.
It is important to note that the 1915 and 1916 listings do not include an entry for 'American Standard Watch Case Company', suggesting 1917 is the first year of registration.
