14kt - JJBulovaM5
looking for info on this watch. I think the date is correct. Found it in my late fathers dresser.
I'd really like to see what is stamped on the caseback, old eyes can't see it in these pics. I think it was re-dialed and re-cased but can't say without the details off the caseback.
Case has
14KT
JJ BULOVAM5
The JJ has an arrow through them pointing to the top right(1:00 o'clock)
The JJ are almost on top of each other, like they were double imposed.
Oolala. . . sounds like solid 14k to me, and dated 1965. Sure you don't want to sell it. . . as in, to me?
My guess is those are genuine diamonds. That's a beauty.

yep, she's back alright
Didn't take long did it?
:)
Could be a Beau Brummel variation. It's in the right date range.
nah
Jeweler re-case.
How do I find out for sure?

...one way is for us to find a vintage ad indicating this dial/case combo....but I'm not holding my breath. The JJ w/ arrow and other info you've given to date makes it sound like it could be a Bulova-produced (and marketed) model. Time may tell....
Based on the owners description it sounds as if the case is legit. 14k solid gold, stamped Bulova M5 with a Jonell case mark. It may come as no surprise to some but I own at least one 14k Jonell cased Benrus and my '65 Sea Cloud in the db has a Jonell case. I remember reading somewhere that the "arrow" through the Jonell mark is meant to be watch hand.
I wonder if the owner can provide more pics especially of the case back showing the signature?
