I have just purchased this 1961 bulova blue dial watch with a movement I do no see on this site. It is a beautiful watch and looks practically new. Can some one help to identify this watch? Ok here is a picture of the back of the watch. Hope this helps. M1 I believe is the date code on the back 1961. These are the only pics I have of the watch.
The watch below has a 10BC 17 jewel swiss movement marked 1948. The case is in rose gold and marked Bulova quality , number 6019052 , no mention of gold content. The case looks like a 1943 Brewster or a later 1945 Gedney. The face of the watch looks like a 1944 Alderman which has a 10BC movement. Both the case and the watch face are in excellent condition and the movement is working. Bizarely the second hand has eith been painted red or replaced.
I hope this is not another custimized watch . :-)

Hooded lugs with hinged caseback, two-tone solid 18K white and yellow gold. Movement is 8AN, with date code for 1928. I sent the dial in to be refinished, will post "after" pictures when it is done.

Anyone have any idea about the model of this watch? I made a cursory look through the database, but, in all honesty, I'm not sure exactly how to go about searching for a similar model. I tried by date, but saw nothing similar. Any help will gratefully appreciated. Thanks.
Any thoughts on this version of the Rite Angle? It is pink gold fill, 8AE movement with movement code shaped like an omega (1940).

As my handle suggests I happen to collect watches of the 'purist' 24-hour variety, I was able to obtain this particular one not long ago, and was not able to find much information other than it was manufactured in 1960 (code M0.) It has run flawlessly thus far, keeping very good time, and the hacking feature still works. I have not attempted to remove the case back to identify the movement (yet) as the facets for doing so appear to have been chewed up in places; I do not wish to add to the damage. It will obviously require some work.
This was included in a box lot of watches at a recent auction. Please offer your help to ID, as I have not been able to find much. Thanks!
In my watches I have a 1955 Ranger listed. The more I understand how things work here and with Bulova , should it be a unknown due to the fact the only proof I have for this watch being a Ranger is the Glass and plastic crystals.
I think that isn't allot of proof.
After looking at every rectangle watch in the database the closest one I came up with was the Douglas but the lugs are different. I checked the ads from '44 to '46 also. Could it be a later case?
