Bulova's apparent first attempt at marrying a wrist watch with something else; as well as a first attempt at a battery operated travel alarm radio. The only mention of this curiosity I  find on mybulova is an apparent mention in the 1962 Annual Report (that I was unable to open).

As I am new to this forum, I am curious to know if there is any literature on how the watch designs got their names?  I've noticed different US President names, and other notables.  Is there a published book on the company and its history?  Thank you for the information. 

I saw this game in an antiques mall this weekend.  The watch caught my eye.  This sure looks like a Bulova.   The case is a strong match to the Golden Clipper.

I'm trying to determine as much information as possible with respect to the following item.

make/model/year/value/influences in terms of design/where to repairing 

I am trying to locate a reputable watch repair facility to service two older Bulova watches.

I contacted Bulova and they don't work on anything that old.

They recommended that I contact the Vetran's Watch Maker Initiative which I have done and sent them pictures and information.

They are 8+ months behind and when you're 75 8 months can be a  long time.

I am in southern middle Tennessee.

The gold Bulova dress watch was my late father's.

Here is an example of an undocumented change in stainless steel case manufacturing after Bulova presumably discovered their watches were corroding. The model in question is the Ambassador with the solid gold bezel.

The Ambassador line of watch in the 1960s have stainless steel backs, however, most of the cases I've seen are badly pitted. The examples I've seen are dated from 1966-1968. Coincidentally, these cases are all made in W. Germany. I guess their stainless steel metallurgy wasn't quite up to the abuse of natural oils of the wrist.

I've got a Bulova Braile dealer sample from 79, and I need to source a movement for it. I believe it needs the automatic 1810.10. What other watches had that movement?

It also came with a Bulova signed expansion bracelet, which has been split for the sample case, so it would lay flat.
