I recently became interested in watches, just reading the internet basically. Going through my late fathers belongings, I came across several watches in various states. The Bulova is pretty beat up. I can hear what I think is the movement rattling around in the case, but it does surprisingly work. I am thinking about having it restored to the best it can be. I think it would be pretty cool to wear a watch my father wore years ago. I thought it was a "23", but then maybe a President, but honestly not sure what it is. Would love to know what type of bands it originally came with to try and match it if I do have it restored. Worth it?

Mechanically speaking it should be fairly easy to clean and oil and replace broken parts. The dial is always the issue but might clean up well enough with a light wash.
