Vintage Bulova information sharing

 I was told by my great uncle he got this watch in 1918 while in the navy in WW I. I cant get the back off of the movement to check the numbers. Thanks for your help

Hi I have bought a lovely rolled gold v small round face automatic bulova watch. It has M8 on the back indicating a 1968 manufacture and a five digit number with the letter L at the beginning. It appears to have the original strap which is brown crocodile. Can anybody point me to a similar one or help me with a model? I have searched through loads of images here but have been unable to find a match.Help! 

I was wondering if anyone had a link or pdf for the Accutron case #781/789 parts list?

There are case specific parts and wondering what those parts number are so I can do searches for part number instead of the sometime confusing "Name"

Is there an electronic version of this manual anywhere? I have seen a few for sale at a pretty high price. I know soneone here will have the info I am looking for, but I would like to use it for reference before I buy a watch to see if I can find spare parts or not.

Hi All

I am a bit confused about the engraving on the back of Bulova's military watches.

Are the watches that are marked U.S NO GRADE WG on the back acctually military issue?

I have been told that military watches with dual colored face (black & white ) are not issued.

Also I keep finding on Ebay all different engraving on the back of these watches, how do I know what is right and what is NOT.

Designed for Interplanetary Timekeeping, L-R on the "dial" are planet sign, day, hour, minute, seconds, with GMT on the very bottom.

Great imaginations these guys had, if only they had made one!

Groovy baby!

I have a passion for the 10bpac movement.  Scrolling through the advertisment section I found one of the models that I have.  The V54 W 1013/4  as well as the sunburst models with white or black dials are the mainstays.  I noticed that on the V54 I have serial numbers that are only 23 numbers apart.

6010328 & 6010351....Is this something to ooh and aah about?  Are they worth more being so close in number??

Comments would be appreciated. 

A guy still feels a little foolish...  I'll go a head an eat crow, just to get the information out there that there's a model or two that are look a like vintage watches.

So I snagged this watch with a couple of crappy pictures.  I've had pretty good odds with crappy picture auctions and gotten some real gems out of it.
