Bulova Watch Postal Service Cards

Submitted by JimDon5822 on

I thought I would start a forum just for Bulova postal cards.   These are the cards either from jewelers or from Bulova that would be sent to customers that the service was completed for their watch.  Thanks for indulging me. Here is number one.  This is a 1930 Bulova Watch service card.

A movie cameo!

My wife and I went to see "Ford v Ferrari" yesterday—a very good movie about Ford, race car designer Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon) and driver Ken Miles (Christian Bale) trying to win at Le Mans in the mid-'60s. The guy at Ford who gets things going, at least in the movie, is Lee Iacocca, and though I got just a glimpse of it, I saw right away what watch he was wearing: an Accutron 214. And it makes perfect sense that the go-getter, forward-thinking guy at Ford would be wearing that watch at that time.

Bulova Case Catalog For Sale

Stumbled on this Bulova/Caravelle case catalog for sale.  Pricey at $99 but this seems like a great resource for someone on this forum.   From the pictures looks like a great parts listing by case. I thougth I would put this out there if someone wants it.  it is not mine just stumbled on it

1940s Midshipman Vs. Minute Man

Submitted by tshanno on

Hi, guys.

For the life of me I can't tell these watches apart.

Midshipman:

Minute Man:

At first I thought it was just the watch face but then I came across this Minute Man example:

I must be missing something.  These cases look identical to me.

Thanks,

Tom S.
