I bought this last week (high res sent to admin for databasing)
Shows the Oakley that Nova-Novice has the only example of so far.
Also... how interesting is it that the Lone Eagle came in not only yellow gold, but two-tone, AND white gold for three seperate colors!
Didn't know it came in a 7... but I popped off a back of a watch I got today.... looks like a mid-1930's Ranger but with engraved bezel. It's got those weird wavey steps.
Double date stamped Arrow and Crescent Moon for 37-38. Anyway.... low and behold.... a 7 Jewel, 10AE movement.
Case is stamped correctly Bulova inside btw.
With all the recent "discoveries" and new information that has come to light, I've noticed that members are posting their "Treasures" including movements and datecodes that vary from what's listed in the database. Take for example a 8AE movement that WAS listed in the database as 1941 to 1950. As I found a watch movement 8AE with a shield date code making it a 1939, I corrected the listing and inserted a note indicating when the change was made and why.
I had a snipe set up for this pair of watches... actually just want the 23 Jewel on the right... looks like a Breu Brummell?
Anyway... as I'm a little spooky as to the case wear because of the crap picture... I had my snipe set low at $26.98.... well...I thought I did anyways!

Found today... Alden's 1955-56 Winter Catalog (High Res sent to Admin for databasing)
Check out #9... Senator.... but see at the bottom of the description PLAIN BEZEL = "Champion" Absolute proof of bezel variant names... well... to go along with all the others.
Also... look at the Martha Washington 21 Jewel... as this was 1955 Bulova had already lost the Academy Award lawsuit.... but... heh.. must have had a pile of those cases left over as it's pictured with the Martha for sale!
I got this out of a 1957 Youngblood's Wholesale Catalog. I forgot I bought the catalog and just recently found it again. (A high res version was sent to Admin for data-basing)
Pretty cool looking at how much a wholesaler got the watch for and then what they charged the consumer!
Also a couple new ID's in here... the "Neptune", Bulova 23 "H", and the "Senator EW".
HELLO I JUST STARTED WORK ON MY 1938-9 BULOVA AMBASSADOR...AND TO MY SURPRIZE I FOUND A METAL PALTE ON TOP OF THE BOTTOM PLATE(DIAL SIDE in case i got that wrong) this is the first time i have seen something like this so i have a few questions...1. did they only put on this type of 10ae 21j movements?..2 was put on for the curve of the dial, for support ? 3. Is the plate there to protect the winding mech??
So last week I managed to outsnipe the Sniping King on a Bulova, it was hard to tell from the bad photo and discription what kind of condition it was, but I was sure it was a Academy Award "Z"
It arrived yesterday and sure enough it was a "Z" and was in excellent condition other than a ladies leather band had been installed.
I just noticed I won a 1940 President this morning for 99 CENTS! Seller had it listed as a Bulova Ladies wristwatch with a opening bid of 99 cents so I threw my bid at it and was the one and only bid??? Didin't know or expect to win this one especially with all you "Eagle eyed" snipers out there. Yee haw
I thought maybe you guys would get a kick out of this.
