Accuquartz

I received this watch as a gift and i would like to know more information about it. I have done some research and i think it is a Bulova accuquart 2242 1973 model. The watch is in near new condition but i do not know if it works.

This 14K Gold example belongs to a repeat customer, and is the AccuQuartz 2242. The redundancy of using both the tuning fork and the Quartz oscillator led to Bulova dropping the tuning fork from subsequent models. Oftentimes when I see these dials as parts, the little diamond has been harvested from them.

1974 Accuquartz, gold case, gold dial.

I never open the watch. the movement model is based on reasearch i did. The age is when I know it was bought.

I'm not sure about the case shape, but you can modify it seeing the attached pictures
