Watch Description
This 14K Gold example belongs to a repeat customer, and is the AccuQuartz 2242. The redundancy of using both the tuning fork and the Quartz oscillator led to Bulova dropping the tuning fork from subsequent models. Oftentimes when I see these dials as parts, the little diamond has been harvested from them.

$250 in 1974! That's $1354 in today's money, and that's not the solid gold model.
Think about that for a minute. I hear customers all the time telling me they don't want to spend $100 nowadays on a watch. Whenever somebody breaks through that $1000 barrier and goes above, they proudly show me that watch like it is a Fabergé egg.
