Watch Description

I am unable to match this watch face design with any 1973, 14kt case Accutrons.   It was a gift to my father in 1973.  He passed away in 2017.  Around 2015 he took it to a high quality watch jeweler in the Philadelphia and had it cleaned and possibly the crystal replaced.  As I recall he said he did not have the battery replaced as he did not intend to wear it anymore.  I do not feel comfortable attempting to remove the back cover for your analysis.  I have no idea of model, nor any operation instructions.  When the stem is advanced 24 hours the day date does not change.  I am hoping that is due to no battery.  I am fairly sure my father last had it cleaned and put in good working order.

I would like to get an estimated value, model number, operating instructions, battery number and may be interested in putting it for sale.  I am seeking any information and thank you VERY MUCH for your expertise and your time.

Generally speaking your watch is called a Bulova Accutron Date and Day "CK".

1973 Bulova Accutron Date & Day "CK:"

The movement I suspect will be a 2182 and would take a modern 344 battery.

Sorry Dove but we are qualified to estimate value,  I do agree with admin about the model - 1973 Bulova Accutron Date and Day CK. The two prices shown are dealer cost and suggested retail price.

Great to have your fathers watch.  1973 Bulova Accutron Date and Day CK is a good match.

The watch shown in the image only says Accutron in to 9 o’clock position.  My Dad’s says Bullova Accutron in that location on face.

Would it still be a C K?

Do not use auction sites as to gauge a fair market value for a 218-2.  I restore and specialize in Accutrons. Inquiry and cost email: centralhsd@earthlink.net  Estimate of Fair Value upon request  John V. TIME & AGAIN
