Very nice Accutron "Woody" Bulova Model 22508-Y. Original bracelet. Period clam shell display case is solid wood. Added 11/27/2012. As I'm am the new owner of this watch The panel may want to delete Geoff Bakers entry. (Even though his pictures are better)
Accutron Woody. Sure would like to one of them but I always get sniped when I bid on one.
Beautiful watch, Bob.
Looks like a tall, skinny Santa Claus with a short Goatee brung you an early Xmas prezzie!
Accutron "Woodie".
There's not that much more info or discussion in Goeff's record, so it could be deleted, but his pictures in that record are very nice to have somewhere?
I don't see if it was a hang tag giving Bulova Model 22508-Y, or if that info was written on the owner guide in those pictures. I bet this owners guide has the actual case serial number of this watch written in there too.
Hope it was hand delivered, and an appropriate ceremony was held...perhaps toasting with a beverage aged in a solid wooden barrel for about as many years- Glenfiddish 1973 comes to mind :)
In reply to There's not that much more by William Smith
....almost forgot. Woody gets my vote all around.
Yes boys, hand delivered by Santa Geoff and all the the adoption papers were signed through paypal! :)
Thats a awful nice looking cooking timer there Bob! Did you use it to time the bird this Thanksgiving? ;-D
Santa Geoff was commenting on how he would like to head up my way...maybe I should clean the chimmy and get the ice off of the roof just in case!
Woody or Woodie...it makes no difference, 3 ticks.
Is "Woody" a confirmed model name?
The Woody is a term used by Accutron enthusiasts for identification, I don't think it was ever an actual Model and there are more than one style with the Mahogony bezel insert
"ACCUTRON Series 218"
My heart says Accutron Wioody, but Fifth is technically correct, was this an actual model name.
Generic Accutron 218 with the variant of 'Woody' may do us for now.
Gorgeous watch Bob!
I figured it was only a matter of time before someone would point out that this model was never really called a woody but please don't call it generic or unknown. How about this?
Accutron (Woody)
Accutron 218 (Woody)
Good idea Bob, it would be a shame to lose a great name to a technicality!
