Custom made watch, one of two made. Gold and Jade mined in AK. Watch Runs, still keeping accurate time. Watches were made by my Uncle for himself and my Father. Watch is original, no refurbishments.
I am thinking of selling this watch and am currently looking for an appraiser to take a look at it. I have had the watch since 1992. The bracelet pieces are marked with 10K, but the nuggets should be 24K, the Jade is pure Jade. I'll need to get all the details correct before I can list it for sale.
Value wise the movement itself isn't that much. 95% of the value will be in the gold content of your watch, which for the record I love.
Model wise 1969 Bulova Accutron Date and Day.
1969 Bulova Accutron Date and Day is a good match noting aftermarket gold nugget add ons.
Thanks Guys. I'm looking to get as much information about the watch as possible. I'll continue to look for an appraiser, mainly to find the value of the gold. I realized the watch wasn't going to be big in the overall value, other than it's an extremely cool watch, a bit gaudy (OK, alot gaudy), but definitely gets attention.
Thanks again, and I look forward to any additional information that y'all can provide.
Thinking that the dial has also been custom coloted to match the jade green.
Whilst I can't assign a true model variant, I think thgis watch started it's life as either an Accutron Day/Date "B" or "D".
