1972 Clipper AQ. Case back, BULOVA.STAINLESS STEEL BACK,N2 and the SERIAL#.iNSIDE CASE BACK,Bezel gold plated G,microns,R/,7211-1(inside a box),SWISS.23 jewel automatic movement marked N2.Great two tone brown dial with gold hands and markers,day-date at three o'clock, marked BULOVA,AUTOMATIC,23 JEWELS.This is a big one,the case measures35.90mm without the lugs x 40.05mm without the crown.Ijust noticed I have lost the crown and it looks like the stem is either broken or too short.Anyone knows the part numbers for these? There's a blue dialed example of this in the database.
crown part number is 7211Y.
Nice Clipper AQ
Thanks JP.
Clipper AC works for me, wondering though if the dial color is a differentiator.
AQ not AC Geoff;I have seen ads for both color dials and it seems they are both called AQ.
Clipper AQ it is
Here's a 1972 Clipper AQ ad from the decades forum watch ads.

Subject watch dial says 23 jewels. AQ above listed as 17 jewels. The 11AOACB in movement database shows both a 17 and 23 jewel version of this movement.
There's another 1974 Clipper AQ ad here.
Not seeing this as the Clipper AQ, which would be 17 jewels, two-tone blue dial, and stainless steel case.
Not seeing any Clippers with 23 jewels; Presidents, Senators, and Buccaneers w/ 23J - but no ads that match. Unknown at this time.
Hmmm, didn;t notice the "23" on the dial, that does rather disqulify it as a Clipper. Now I'm back to Unknown with Ken.
Good call, Ken and Will.
All 1972 Presidents were oval, all Senators cushion cased. Possibly a Buccaneer, but no supporting advert even though it ticks all the boxes.
Unk, and a lovely one too.
There's an example of this watch on watchophilia that's a close match.Lisa's example has the same movement but in the 17 jewel version. The only difference is mine is marked 23 jewels on the dial.Inside case back numbers are also different.Lisa's has R/,7211-2 while mine has R/,7211-1.I don't know if this is any help but it must mean something.
