Accutron, Railroad Approved, no date or day, sweep second hand. 10k gold filled case. Speidel band. May be a number 427.
Hello torfin, welcome to myBulova, nice looking Railroad model. Bulova had a couple variants of the RR in the 1970's but I don't see anything to match yours exactly. I like the sweep second hand they use on this one, with the tuning fork.
1970 Accutron Railroad Approved, thanks for sharing it.
This undated Bulova brochure looks to show this case as the '427', but the dial does not show the 24-Hr markers like subj watch.
Then we have the '427' later advertised in a different case (also calls for Gold Plate - subj is Gold Filled):
1972
1973
Not sure if we can go tentative on the '427' or just go with generic 1970 Accutron Railroad Approved
Thanks for the welcome. I think my next step may be to send it off to a CAT, and see what it needs. It's not currently working, and hasn't been serviced for at least 20 years. Anyone have an opinion on where to send it? I'm in Maryland...
1970 Accutron Railroad Approved for me
Another thing to note is they all advertise as the model "427" yet there's a visual difference in the shape of the lugs.
