1969 Bulova Sea King 'CQ'
Stainless steel case and back, case #2519, dated M9; silver dial with luminous hands and markers; manual-wind Swiss-made 17-jewel movement, no import stamp, dated M9. Band was the one that came with the watch, though appears to not be the original, according to the ads.
Ads are showing the Sea King calendar models appearing in 1969, and I do not find this design amongst other models, like the Clipper line or Date Kings. Two 1969 ads stating this one as the Sea King 'CQ'.
1969 Bulova Sea King "CQ", nice white king
1969 Bulova Sea King "CQ", really nice example looks mint.
Sweet watch, Ken. Hard to argue with two ads:
1969 Bulova Sea King CQ gets my vote.
Mint 1969 Sea King 'CQ' gets my vote. Is it NOS?
Thanks everyone! No, this one is not NOS, but after some cleaning it turned out quite nice.
Another home run Ken, VERY well done. I like this band, I thinks it adds to the watch.
