Possible Bulova Jet Clipper from 1969
All stainless steel case and caseback, dated M9. Approx 31mm diameter N/I crown. Black dial with silver and luminous hands and markers (may be original, as the case showed years of grime before being cleaned). Has an 11BLAC 17-Jewel automatic movement dated M8. Crystal removed for photos.
Closest ad I could find is a 1966 Jet Clipper that comments on a black dial; not sure if this same named model was still being made in 1969, or using another name.
Jet Clipper. Fantastic job cleaning the dial. Realy nice watch.
In reply to Jet Clipper. Fantastic job by JP
Thanks, I actually meant to state that the case was quite dirty (corrected above); however, the dial is untouched by me; apologies for the confusion.
Still a very nice job of cleaning things up.
I agree with 1969 Jet Clipper (w/ 1968 movement).
Sure looks like the "also available with black dial" version of the ad text above. I'd bet the black dial version is another variant from the "N" listed in the ad, but I gotta check out some other ads and watch examples.
JC's in the house!
Well done (again) Ken, it's very nice. I'd go along with the Jet Clipper model ID too.
It looks like in 1969 the earlier Jet Clipper changed to Sea King. This one should be the Sea King 'BZ'
LineBook #170 1969

In 1967, these are the Jet Clipper 'AA' and 'AB', same reference numbers
