A nice 30J 1969 Bulova Commander. Runs well, keeps good time. Not original band. Dial is in nice shape, perhaps showing a light patina next to the 4 o'clock mark. Winds and sets smoothly. The hands still glow in the dark well. The circular machining on the center of the dial looks good (hard to see in the pic) There is a small flaw on the side of the bezel about 9 oclock, but it can't be seen while being worn. (almost looks like it was melted with electricity.) Aside from that, the case and crystal are in very nice shape. The back has some scratches, but nothing serious.

Your case mark that looks like electricity damage may very well be from a welding spark sticking to the case. I have a watch that I did that to when I was young and bulletproof.

Not sure if the 'D' variant was for the braclet version, but giving the watch the benefit of the doubt that the 'D' variant was down to the case and dial combo only.
