1938 Bulova wirh a 10AE 15 jewel movement in a 10k rolled gold plated case. Seems to be keeping good time although I haven't tested it for a long period. I put a new G-S H 462-15 crystal in it. I read on here or somewhere that the same crystal that fit the Goldcraft fit this model. On the Goldcraft this crystal snapped right in place but I tried 3 of them on this watch and none of them fit good out of the package, I had to file one down some to get it to fit. The 10AE movement has an arrow for the 1937 date code. I have no way of knowing if it's the original or not.
1938 Bulova Commander looks to be a good match. Its a model we do not see very often. Thanks for posting.

Thanks JimDon. That was fast.
a 1937 movement in a 1938 case is not in the least bit out of the ordinary.
If I had to guess I'd say it is original.

Thanks Fifth. I set the time on it yesterday after posting it on here, around 5 PM and checked it against the computer just now, around 5:30 AM and it's right on the minute. So it keeps time for 12 hours at least.
1938 Bulova Commander is a good match
1938 Bulova Commander works for me as well.
