Stainless case. When purchased it had a Speidel stainless strectch band installed. I looked through the archive ads and couldn't quite find this case/model. Is this a Sea King, or other model? I purchased this off the 'Bay, and unfortunately cannot provide any history of the watch. Unfortunate as well, the watch loses time rapidly, and I've been told there's a problem with the cannon pinion. I'm looking for a donor movement or to repair.
EDIT 09.10.2014 Root record changed from 1969 to 1970 based on owner noting date code NO (1970) on case.
Good stuff Eric, great update as it's nice to know what happens, and if watches actually get those promised COAs!
The sixties and seventies give us some of Bulovas' finest watches, the Accutrons, Sea Kings, Presidents, Senators, Ambassadors, Oceanographers Chronographs and the many Clipper and Clipper derivatives.
Most of these watches were tested for water resistance individually at the National Testing Center under rigorous conditions, the movements were as good as some prestige watches of the time, and still keep going today, as attested by the many watches posted here and on other sites. The multitude of case designs were, on the whole, very pleasing to the eye and were built to last with the very best materials.
And I haven't even mentioned ladies watches!

Got one SeaKing, exactly like this one you posted... in the US last August... definitely a SeaKing but with 11BLACD movement, curious but not too much as I have seen it before, M7 on the back, M9 on the caliber... A beauty that came with a great JB Champion Milano mesh belt that I didn't want to cut to size it to my small wrist, so replaced it with a great Mira-Flex, also purchased in the US. I wish I could post photos but without a local PC browse feature can't do it... ;-(
