The earliest ad on file for the 'SEA KING' dates its release to 1959.

The earliest 'SEA KING' on site belongs to Old Ticker - dated 1961.

Prior to the 1960'ish design / name change, 'SEA KING' release I believe this model was known as the 'WATERPROOF' (screw back case). The 'WATER-TITE' having a one piece Case
ok
Thanks
I really didn't want to get into this until I receive the watch.. The case looks like the Self-Winder, but the dial don't match. Dial could be the Water Proof but the case don't match. I can't read the data on the case back in the pics..

Looks to me like they didn't know the model name so simply named it what was on the dial.
Ad shows it as a 1954 Clipper.

Variant dial from one posted at the top, but same as the ad above.
Close..but.... 1961Sea King

close again...but.....1962 Jet Clipper

I agree it has a basic Clipper case with a varient dial. I have never seen this dial advertised. Agree that the Self-Winder is mislabeled.
