This was bought in Windhoek South West Africa about 1969/70 and cost 100 South African Rand - it's not going at the moment - got a replacement battery on order and see what happens then, if it does not work will be looking for advice on how to get it fixed - would like to replace the bracelet with the same type, and will also be looking for advice on this as well - the case is also scratched, it was a working watch when it was first bought and would also like advice on if there is anything that can be done to bring it up to a good standard - the watch is not for sale as I want to keep it and wear it
looks like one of the space view series.

Remember looking at it in the jewelers window on Kaiser Street, Windhoek, it was a lot of money but didn't care, just had to have - now got that feeling back and got to get it working again
You will pay as much for an original bracelet as for a new watch, they are very sought-after!

That was really not what I wanted to hear - wish I had taken more care of it now - but thanks anyway for the information, appreciated
Hi Slurp, welcome to myBulova. I assume you're the original owner of this fine watch, congratulations on keeping it all these years. I heartily recommend having it serviced prior to wearing it again. I'm sure you'll find a suitable replacement bracelet and while it might be a bit pricey, think of it as an investment.

If you still have the original clasp fastening closure, you could get a bracelet that is as close a match to yours as possible.
Make sure you get one with the same size closure,, and swap clasps.
Is the case all stainless steel?
Accutron Spaceview but model variant pending.
