Stainless steel case and bracelet. M7 so a 1967 Bulova Accutron Spaceview. Crystal may have been replaced in the 90s. Bought by my grandfather new, then passed to my dad and to me. Just wanting to get more details and info on the watch
Any information on the model number? As that seems to be related to which battery it should be using etc.
Thanks.

214 movement so a Accucell 1 battery is best bet to play it safe it has original lower 1.35v that the watches originally used - ebay and other watch sites sell them altho pricey - if its been rephased for cheaper priced 1.55v modern batteries then a 387s is the typical replacement - altho 394 might work as well - both should be the silver oxide type - looks like a swiss case with the larger M7 stamp and the style of hands - some real expert will chine in eventually

Thanks. I've read a lot of different things regarding the batteries. Dad had been told 399 renata, which is one recommendation I've read. I bought a couple and put one in and it's been working OK. I'll look out for an accucell 1
Thanks again
Thank you for posting your heirloom watch. One of the most iconic watches of the 1960's. Yours looks to be a 1967 Bulova Accutron Spaceview "G" like this one https://mybulova.com/watches/1966-accutron-spaceview-g-13530

Different strap and date code on the case. The movement and cases can be from different years?
Grandad would have bought it in London.
