Beautiful 30J Auto with date window.
Must be a "President?"
:-) Scott
Would agree - 'PRESIDENT'
Watch is shown lower right, ad dated 1964.
Sheesh is that a sweet watch.
Wow good stuff guys. Still trying to decide if its a keeper or a seller......the rotor does catch the case and tap a little although it works fine and is unoticable when you watch it turning with the back off. I think these autos just get worn rotor bearings or something.
Gary,
Try replacing the O ring seal, may help a little.
A keeper, the Dial is definately rare.
ugliest watch I have ever seen, definately not a keeper, that dial is an attrocity, the case...round..pfft.just toss it in a box and send it my way for proper disposal.....drool.....more drool...
I have this same watch case - New Old Stock - but it is a 1967 and says, "23 Jewels" "Self Winding." Same Bezel, Same Two-Tone. Wide-Vertical-Stripe-Down-Center Date Dial, Same Hands (yes, it came with the hands too...very handy!). What do you think it might be...A 1967 "Vice" President? Seriously...it must still be a "President model," don't you think? I need a movement for it so I'm trying to decide what to put in it. The inside case cover is missing the case stamp (four diget number) to look up...what does your Case say inside? My Case Reference book would tell be any movement options for simiar cases. Thanks! Rob
Is it possible to ID this as a President "I" based on the advert which also shows what could be models B and E?
Re dialed?? The ad dosn't show spiderlines as this watch does. I'd have to say the dial is non-conforming. Kind of a shame to trash a positive ID over such a minor point but it's not an exact match to the ad.
In reply to Re dialed?? The ad dosn't by bourg01
Shawn,
Are you looking at the same watch in the ad?
Its the one at the bottom right....
