Watch Description
Case measures approximately 39mm lug to lug x 33mm not including the crown.  Watch case not opened. Looks to be a front loading movement.  I don’t want to open it as I am unsure of exactly how it opens and it is running strong.  The dial is a warm silver-tone with applied gilt hour markers and a Bulova signature. Minutes registers are applied gilt 'dots' with luminous accents at 5 minute intervals, 30 jewels and self winding insignias are printed in black on the dial. Hour and minute hands are gold-tone radium dauphine, sweep center seconds hand is cone style. Crown is signed Bulova. The lug width is 18mm and is fitted with a vintage brown alligator Kreisler watch strap.   Case back is 14K gold with case back markings: Waterproof – Shock Resistant – Antimagnetic – Self Winding - BULOVA - 14k. Gold Case.  Also stamped on the back case are 056880 and M5. I believe this is a 1965  Commander “G”

A super clean and original watch. I doubt this one has seen much wrist time. The crown still looks very crisp and the brown alligator band looks original and as good as it did 61 years ago.

1965 Bulova Commander "G" gets my vote.

Wowser!  This is a nice one.  Congrats.   Curious if the buckle on the strap is a Bulova branded strap and if it is marked 14KT or gold filled.

It’s a Kreisler strap and buckle not marked 14k.  Unsure if it’s the original strap. Here are some pics.

Certainly looks to match the linebook entry, buckle and all.
