This Bulova watch was my Grandfather's retirement watch from CN Rail. He was born in 1892 so if he retired at 65 that would suggest a 1957 Bulova watch, but instead the M2 implies 1962.
M8 would indicate a production Date of 1968.
'SEA KING'
My apologies, it's not M8 but rather M2 thus the year 1962.
Regardless, it's still confusing because I'm sure my Grandfather didn't retire at age 70.
although the Watch is not shown in the exact configuration as You Grandfathers I'm still almost pretty sure We're looking at a 'SEA KING'
ad is 1961 http://www.mybulova.com/sites/default/files/vintage_ads/Bulova_AD_1961_7.jpg
Retirement watch or not (why couldn't he have retired at 70? - my grandfather did) - very cool to have an heirloom from your grandfather. I will be tentative on a Sea King ID, agree that the case seems to be a match.
Sea King
Has all the markings of a Sea King. A great family treasure!
I'd agree with a tentative Sea King until a matching ad surfaces.
