This was my grandmother's watch given to her by my grandfather on their 40th wedding anniversary. Missing the crown, but it's currently with a jeweler for repair and cleaning.
From a 1952 ad in Vintage Bulova Adverts
Five year difference in ad vs watch date but could be a 1952 Miss America

Found a period ad from 1956 confirming model name closer to 1957

1957 Miss America

Welcome to myBulova and thank you for sharing your grandmother's watch with us. What a wonderful heirloom for you to have. It is wonderful you are getting it service so you can enjoy wearing it. I am assuming it has an L7 on the case.

JimDon, I think you hit the nail on the head. This watch has been in the Unknown bin for almost 10 years, Well Done.

Hi ! i try to understand the difference between this watch and the 1957 Miss America 'E' beside de # of the movement, dont we classified the watch by his case model and year ? Maybe an admin should take a look at this..... or please explain to me why they arent both the same model......even their case serial number.
always friendly !
Hi martln888. I think they're the same, but this one was posted 14 years ago and it took 9 years just to find an ad that identified it as a Miss America. Now 14 years later we have information identifying it as a Miss America, variant "E". This one just hasn't been updated yet. We're all continually learning more and more about Bulovas as we find new information. Hope this explains it for you.
