Bulova 1956 President

Since my last post was successfully identified, I wanted to post my great-grandfather’s 1956 Bulova L6 A935941. It is manual wind and is 10k gold plated. I have gone through some adverts from that year and the closest match i’ve found is the Bulova Sherwood. I have found other results on google of this exact watch but nothing so far explaining what it is. I am hoping to find out more about it since I have so gratefully inherited it and I would love to know the history behind it. Thank you !
