1957 Linebook has this model (with palin dial) as the Storm King. Assuming here that the dial makes this a different model name.

The Storm King and Navigator are nearly twins. It’s hard to distinguish some of the details in the illustrations and pictures available. As Ken pointed out in the discussion on the 1957 Navigator

“The pricelists show two models associated with reference#281, the Navigator C and the Storm King B.”

He also found a 1957 ads for both models and a 1958 as for the Storm King. The Navigator ad specifically says “textured luminous dial” while the Storm King ads say nothing about a textured dial.

Please refer to Ken’s comment on this 1957 Navigator.

Based on date stamp, I'll agree.

Navigator

If the line book says the Storm King has a plain dial, I assume that means not textured, and the ‘57 ad for the Navigator says textured dial, shouldn’t the watch currently identified as a ‘57 Storm King be reevaluated as possibly being a ‘57 Navigator?
