Chrome plated Case measures 40.5mm lug to lug x 36mm non inclusive of the Crown using Calipers. Stainless Steel Caseback is held by a retaining ring and stamped as shown. Runs and keeps Time, totally thrashed otherwise but nice to get ID'd in the Watch database. will update once I can get the Caseback off.
I have the same watch and the case back can only be properly removed with a Bulova key which says made in France. When I removed the case back I was surprised to find the movement is an 11ACC 17 jewel. The inside of the back says Bulova Watch Co. Case made in France. The serial number of the case is 5222289. The sweep second hand is black.
My case is a little better with mostly scratching and that was mainly made by someone trying to open the case back with an incorrect tool.
Like yours, mine keeps good time and runs with out a hitch.

John Can you enter your example as an unknown? It may help w/ ID for both. I have opened these casebacks with this tool, albeit it only has three "teeth" and is not optimal but worked fine:

Yes, I will be happy to enter it as an unknown and will take a pic of the tooI have that was made for this type of case. As you will see, it only has two teeth and works just as it should.
