Yellow gold plate with stainless back. Seconds track numbered in increments of 5. Pretty clean with great lugs and keeping time. Has what appears to be a military serial number lightly hand scratched on the case back. Ads seem to show a different dial configuration with radium hands. There is a single example like this one in the database dated 1952 that has the same numbered seconds face and hands as subject watch,
1953 Clipper?
Nice looking watch, really like the lugs. Based on the other in the DB and the case I am good with Clipper.
1953 Bulova Clipper
While the case seems to match the Clipper, the dial and hands are definitely not a match. The minute track definitely does not match. I don't think a Clipper is the right model.
Agree that case is a Clipper match, but the dial is not (Clippers had luminous dials/hands)
Like the referenced watch I'd classify this as a Clipper as well. We have not seen this dial variant in any adverts but the case is all Clipper. 1953 Bulova Clipper
