1953?Caseback,10K ROLLED GOLD PLATE,BULOVA,L3.Inside caseback BULOVA FIFTH AVE NEW YORK.Signed Bulova crown.Plain dial with very simple markers and dauphine hands.
Based on previous comments on the watch matching this model I am still tentative Bulova Ambassador, but as always when it comes to an ID, I'm happy to be proven wrong if someone can find that elusive advert.
Yeah, I'm at tentative Ambassador for this one too. For the sake of consistency I think they should all be marked the same.
so this is interesting I have a L3 ambassador (I believe from the 53 advert) with the 10bm 17 jewel movement but the movement is an L2. I have hesrd that this is not to unusual for new year models to have the previous years movements but this is the first time i've seen the jewels be different.

In reply to so this is interesting I have by Eddiemeboy
Yours is a 1953 Ambassador "E" and yes, it's not unusual to have a year difference between case and movement.
