I believe this to be a Bulova President. The case back is stamped L2, suggesting a 1952 manufacture year. According to the seller's photo (I have not yet personally opened the watch), the movement date code appears to be L4, but it is not perfectly clear. Perhaps this is a 1952 watch and the movement was replaced at some point.
Possibly a 1952 Case Cased in 1954, not out of the question.

Finally one I think I recognize by "memory" "54 President". I bet we could take a wild guess on a variant, as they had a few around this time (based on Bulova Price Lists)....or maybe we have and ad which suggest a variant?
